Foodtech startup Verdify launches Noory: a groundbreaking tool for tailoring food intake to personal needs

Verdify, a Dutch company developing AI applications for healthcare and the food sector, has announced the official launch of their digital nutrition guide ‘Noory’. This groundbreaking solution enables people to tailor their daily meals to their personal health needs. Noory is specifically designed for people with food allergies, digestive issues, and weight management goals. The platform offers an accessible and effective way to assess nutritional needs, optimise food intake, create personalised meal plans, and monitor progress. Noory can complement the advice of a dietitian, who often has limited capacity to create extensive meal plans for each individual.

According to the World Health Organization, unhealthy eating is the leading global risk factor for premature death and can contribute to chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and colorectal cancer. With Noory, Verdify aims to provide adequate support to individuals facing their personal dietary challenges, enabling them to take more control of their health and well-being. As stated by Verdify executives Fleur Pasman and Jochem Bossenbroek, “our mission is enabling better food choices for both personal and planetary health.”

The digital nutrition guide sets itself apart by automatically optimising recipes through ingredient exchanges, instead of relying on a static recipe database with search filters. Important factors such as the alignment of nutritional values and taste are automatically taken into account. This approach ensures that even individuals with complex dietary challenges can enjoy a diverse and varied range of meal.

Noory is freely accessible through a web application in which users can create a personal profile. Utilising advanced artificial intelligence and dietetic guidelines, Noory automatically calculates the nutritional needs of each individual user and presents optimised recipes that seamlessly align with personal goals and dietary preferences. Verdify ensures the quality of the platform by adhering to medical best practices and implementing strict data security policies.

As of today, Noory is available to the public. The service will soon be expanded to support individuals with breast cancer, obesity, and other specific medical conditions. Healthcare professionals will then be able to use NooryMed to offer personalised meal plans and monitor progress of patients.
